Temple Emanuel's

Jewish Food Festival

We want to thank everyone for your support of this year’s Food Festival!  To make sure we can fill all orders, pre-ordering is now closed.

Pick up will be on Sunday, October 25th, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  To ensure the efficiency of pickup, as well as to follow Covid-19 protocols, the following instructions are provided.

We will have 4 scheduled pick-up time slots.  Times are assigned by LAST NAME. Please make every effort to pick up during your window.  If you are unable to pick-up during the allotted slot, please understand you may experience a delay as we secure your order.

  • 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.:  A through D

  • 12:00 - 12:45 p.m.:  E through K

  • 1:00 - 1:45 p.m.: L through R

  • 2:00 - 2:45 p.m.: S through Z

Please note the following requests:

  • Enter the parking lot from Jefferson Road. You will circle around to the front to pick up your order, then exit via Hobbs Road.

  • Stay in your car at all times - there will be no need to leave your car at any point during pick-up.

  • Wear a mask during your time on site.  You will be greeted as you enter for check-in and follow our driveway around to different stations, including opportunities to buy raffle tickets and to drop off food for our David Frazier Memorial Food Drive (details below).

  • Though we are trying to ensure a speedy and efficient pick, please be patient if there is a backup. We want to make sure all of our patron’s orders are filled correctly.

About the Food:

  • Our food is prepared ahead of time and, to ensure optimal freshness, some items were frozen immediately after preparation.  Instructions for preparation will be included with all orders.

  • The following items will be frozen at pickup: Kugel, Matzah ball soup, and Falafel. These items defrost easily and are precooked so heating to temperature is easy!

David Frazier Memorial Food Drive – David Frazier was the much-beloved Volunteer Coordinator at Jewish Family Services who passed away suddenly this past summer.  In his memory, we are encouraging you to bring a grocery bag filled with non-perishable food items.  Volunteers will be on hand to take the bag out of your car and place it on one of our vehicles to be transported at the end of the day to the JFS Food pantry. The JFS Food Pantry provides food to more than 100 local families who are struggling to put food on the table. In 2019, 12,988 pounds of food were distributed.

50/50 Raffle – It is not too late to purchase one or more raffle tickets online (and totally contact-free!) from our website; just click here.  To date, we have sold over 120 tickets, so the winner will receive at least $600. Tickets are only $10 and the more tickets we sell, the bigger the pot!

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, October 25th.  If you have additional questions, please contact Barri Maxwell Barri.Maxwell@gmail.com or Temple Emanuel at info@tegreensboro.org. If you have a problem on the day of pick-up, please call 336-508-8660.
